Individuals:

GERRY GIROUARD for choreography of Crimes and Whispers (Off Leash Area)

Gerry’s work includes The Cult of Dorian Gray, a multimedia presentation of dance, music and video which he also produced and which incorporated modern dance, capoeira and tango. He also created the interactive dance and video productions Gravity Games and Songs for the Body Electric. As a dancer/choreographer he has performed with Off the Wall, the Walker Art Center and the University of Minnesota. He has received fellowships from the Jerome Foundation, Minnesota Dance Alliance and the Minnesota State Arts Board.

BARRY KORNHAUSER playwright of Reeling (Children’s Theatre Company)

Barry is the Playwright-in Residence of the Fulton Opera House. His work has been performed at the San Diego Theatre of the World Festival, the Provincetown Playhouse, the Smithsonian, and the Kennedy Center. His directing credits include a nationally recognized Youtheatre program for disabled and at-risk teens. Recently, Barry’s adaptation of Cyrano at the Shakespeare Theatre became Washington, D.C.’s most honored 2005 production, winning four Helen Hayes Awards, including Best Play.

JIM LICHTSCHEIDL for creation of Knock (Theatre Latte da)

Jim’s theatrical sitcom Knock! which he directed and appeared had a run earlier this year at the Loring Playhouse. He has portrayed Valère with Jeune Lune at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, La Jolla Playhouse, Alley Theater in Houston and Berkeley Rep. He has performed with several local theaters including the Guthrie Theater ( Pirates of Penzance, Sideman, Merrily We Roll Along, As You Like It), Ten Thousand Things Theater ( King Lear, Ragtime, Waiting for Godot), Jungle Theater, Park Square Theater and the Brave New Workshop. Jim also works in local theaters as a director, choreographer, improviser and instructor.

JOEL SASS for Set Design of Last of the Boys (Jungle Theater)

Joel is a director and designer based in the Twin Cities. He has directed Pericles for the Guthrie Lab. Joel first worked with Jeune Lune in the early 1990s while serving three seasons as assistant director, prop designer, and performer for Children of Paradise, Il Campiello, Crusoe, Friday and the Island of Hope, and the original Ballroom, among others. As artistic director of the Mary Worth Theatre Company, Joel has directed and designed numerous shows including Titus Andronicus, Shakespeare’s R&J, The History of the Devil, Valley of the Dolls, The Race of the Ark Tattoo, and The Gods Are Thirsty. He has directed and/or designed for Park Square Theatre ( Triumph of Love, Dirty Blonde, Noises Off, The Mystery of Irma Vep), Theatre-in-the-Round ( Marat/Sade, M. Butterfly, Dark of the Moon), the University of Minnesota ( The Rocky Horror Show, Black Comedy), Mixed Blood Theatre, Hidden Theatre, Cheap Theatre, Red Eye Collaboration, Eye of the Storm and the Minnesota Opera, among others. Joel holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

BRADLEY GREENWALD for performance of I Am My Wife (Jungle Theater) Bradley recently completed I Am My Wife at the Jungle Theater Bradleyhas performed opera, theater, musical theater, concert and recital repertoire with Guthrie Theater,( She Loves Me,) Nautilus Music Theater, (Man of La Mancha,) Children’s Theatre Company,( Aladdin), Jungle Theater, ( Torch Song Trilogy,) and with Minnesota Orchestra, Lyra Concert, 10,000Things, Ballet of the Dolls, A Prairie Home Companion and others.He has collaborated with Theatre de la Jeune Lune over the past twelveyears in such productions as Marìa de Buenos Aires, Carmen, The Golem, Figaro, Magic Flute and Mefistofele. Bradley is the recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship in music, and theMcKnight Fellowship for Theater Artists.

DEAN HOLT, for performance of Reeling (Children’s Theatre Company)

Dean is currently appearing in The Children’s Theatre Company’s production of BFG. At CTC, where he has spent 12 seasons, he has been featured in Sleeping Beauty, The Monkey King, A Year with Frog and Toad, The Wizard of Oz, Once Upon a Forest, Antigone and Prom.
